Changes to the title of our opening piece:

Changes to the title of our opening piece:

We originally came up with the idea of calling our piece 'The Wring', as it held connotations of the main symbol, the ring, and the foreshadowing of the protagonist's death, as she is strangled. However, later on in the project we thought the pun was too humorous, which wasn't the tone we aimed to convey. So we reverted to simply calling it 'The Ring'.

Logo

Production Logo:

Issy kindly created the logo for our production company, 'New Height Productions'. The creation of it involved Issy drawing the crow then scanning onto her laptop, finally using the software Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to touch up the drawing and add the background and text.

She based it on the mock up we both created, where we screen-shot the end of an animation sequence found on vimeo.

Foley Sound experiment 2

Foley Sound experiment 2:

In our lesson today, Issy and I created a few sounds that we will use in our film; using the recording app on the iPhone. We used a glass air freshener to create the sound of the glass perfume bottle hitting a wooden surface. I also recorded the sound of Issy opening and closing her lipstick.
We created these sounds to insert in the bedroom scene to accentuate the actions of the protagonist.

Audience Expectations

Audience Expectations:

During this course, my group and I have assigned each other separate tasks. So we have all done a portion of the research, planning, filming, editing and evaluation. Bella has completed research on audience expectations; where she created a survey, which we all sent out to our contacts.
I have made a presentation on the results that Bella has collected. This will help us with the final stages of our editing, where we can add and make changes to suit our audiences needs.
